CAPESTONE LAKE PLAYGROUND

Public BBQ

A new and impeccably kept playground above Capestone Lake, with a good variety of equipment, flying foxes that are the favourite, and sandy areas to dig in. The panoramic lake view is what sets it apart, with swans on the water and no traffic noise to speak of. Two barbecue areas and clean toilets make a whole day here practical, though the barbecue plates do not always get cleaned, so a hotplate mat is worth packing. Running clubs and trainers use the surrounding space, and you can now drive right around the lake.
